A Landing Place by Judy DeCroce

as two truths approach
a story comes

a quiet meeting
a cup of carefully balanced words

between this mime of thought
circling gracefully,
settling on a captured tale;

it takes time
it takes losing oneself
separating from that voice,

that no you can’t
that negative adult,
that fearful friend inside

as stumbling words advance,
the pen
begins to move
