Clover & White was founded and is edited by Nicola Bourne & Alice Rose, who wanted to create an online literary magazine that publishes all writers but with a real focus on showcasing the talents of underrepresented and emerging authors.
Nicola & Alice met whilst studying Creative Writing at University and therefore understand the difficulties facing new writers as they try to get published. They are also acutely aware of the vast talent and exciting voices that can be found within emerging and underrepresented writers and wanted to create a platform that would really shine a light on those authors.
Our first piece was published on 5th May 2019.
Alice Rose holds an MA in Creative Writing with Distinction and a First Class BA in Creative Writing & English Literature from the University of Hertfordshire.
Alice was the winner of the 2018 Gotham Writers Write The Good Fight competition and was shortlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award.
Nicola Bourne received her MA in Creative Writing at the University of Cambridge and holds a First Class BA in Creative Writing & English Literature from the University of Hertfordshire.
Nicola was runner-up for the Louis De Bernieres Prize for Fiction. Nicola has had short-story and memoir pieces published, as well as her first book The Fabulous Woman’s Guide Through Cancer.
